I have a 1986 Ford family wagon with 13,000 original miles. It has always started and ran great. I hadn't started it for awhile and needed to move it. It fired right up and ran for about a month. Then it wouldn't run. It will start but it dies right away. Have changed the fuel pump and filter but still will not stay running. What else do I need to try. Am tired of it just sitting, need to go camping again. Any help is appreciated. Husband wants to push it off a cliff if I can't get it to run.

Will it fire right back up after it dies out?

How long does it run for.

It dies right away. You can feather the gas for a second then it dies.

Will it fire right back up after it dies or does it have to sit for a bit?

It will fire back up but dies right away. It will keep doing this till the battery is dead. You have to feather the gas but then it dies while you are feathering it.

Ok sounds like a fuel problem, perform a fuel test to see if the pressure drops dramatically or what happens when the vehicle starts to die.
