Axle shaft

I have a 1995 mustang gt with about 94k miles and the other day I fishtailed into a curb blowing out my rear driver side tire and breaking my rim. I got a new rim and tire and now i'm thinking I might need a new axle shaft because my car makes a screaching and a little bit of a grinding sound now on that same rotor where I hit. I wanted to ask if there could possibly be something else wrong with my car besides the shaft and if it could damage my car further by driving on it while it is like this because I have no other means of transporation. I dont want this problem to get bigger. If anyone could give me some advice I would appreciate it

Yup sounds like you bent an axle. There are two teeth patterns one course and one fine. Get one from a salvage yard with the bearing attached.
