1998 Ford Mustang car takes long time to start than it wont

i have a 1998 ford mustang I changed the camshaft sensor put new plugs in and changed the fuel filter the check engine light came back on it takes a long time to start like the timming is off once it starts when you press the gas or turn on the heat it dies the car is not even hot I had a blown 25 watt fuse under the hood replaced and I still cant take the car around the block without back fireing or stalling what could it be now once it dies I have to wait a few hours before it will start again

I would suspect a fuel pressure issue.

Use a fuel pressure check guage and check the fuel pressure engine off and engine running and let me know what you find.

Also the cam sensor shoudl be relearend when its replaced that way it is in correspondence with the crank shaft position sensor. If not it will guess lwhen starting till it finds out the right setting before the veehicle will start. Like its doing now.
