1996 Mustang

I can run my 1996 mustang but after about 3 starts it will not start you can jump it off and it will start up fine autozone checked the batteryy and altenator
they are fine what can I do

What happens when it doesnt start is it just clicking. Or turning over just not fast enough or nothing at all.

The starter is slowley turning
like half speed
the starter makes about 1 turn or so
acts almost like a dead battery but the battery is good
and the staryter does not click

Try doing this with another car. Get a good 10 food strech of like 8ga wire and run it from the other cars battery to the sylenoid on your starter and see if it turns over faster. If it dosent your starter is probably just worn out if it does check all your grounding and do the basics to the battery ie. Clean the terminals and the ground to the body. Good luck. :)

Well im going to bet that the battery is just old and its not putting out the amperage that the starter is looking for. How old is the battery and what is the CCA rating
