The msut I have has a rebuilt motor and transmission aourn 80000 miles ago. The car ran fine until recently when the engine stalled whiled driving then causing the engine light to come on. Now when I drive the car it drives fine but about every three to four minutes it cuts out and the rpm zeroes out sometimes dying other times temporarily then goes on to driving normal. I cannot find anone that has a clue. The engine code was for the evap pressure failure, gas cap loose, etc. Would the evap cause the car to run this way? What in the world can it be? A guy told me possibly the crank sensor. PLEASE HELP.

Rescan the computer again for OBD2 code/s if any comeback with it and get the CPS checked out. The CPS job is to tell the computer the engine speed/ pistons position/detect misfires
