The engine is sluggish and when I try to accelerate, the egine takes its time reving up. If I floor it, wide open throttle, the engine's rev's are jumpy and hessitant and the engine wont rev over 4000 rpm. The governor is at 6500 rpm. This happens on neutral and when in gear. It feels as if the govenor is at 4000 rpm and wont let me go past that. No check engine light on. Please help.

Ok tell me what have you checked? Have you replaced any parts? Do you have a digital multi meter so we can test some sensor and see what is going on? Let me know what you can and we will take it from there.

The fuel pressure was at 32 psi. I changed the spark plugs and wires, cap and rotor. Check engine light came on, and I ran a diagnostics (code 172 and 176, Heated oxygen sensor indicates lean condition). There's not enought fuel delivery right? What could it be?

Ok good news it is just lean. Now what I need you to do is get some mass air flow cleaner (not carb clean) and pull the mass air flow meter and clean it. I had a 172 lean bank one on my 98 Mustang and that has fixed it. Let me know how it goes.

Great glad to hear it. I clean mine out about once a year or so depending on how often I clean the filter and so far no problems. I am glad it is fixed enjoy the ride. So just for fun any performance mods on yours? Mine is a V6 with Flowmaster cat back 21/2inch, BBK cold air intake and throttle body and plans for an 11 psi pro charger in the future turn it up to about 500hp.

Mods are soont to come. I use to have a 96 cobra, 600 rwhp. I still miss that car. Now some guy wanted a commuter so we traded for my honda prelude. Mods to come: 3.73 gears, tremec tko trany, ford racing headers, bassani xpipe (no cats), flowmaster mufflers, underdrice pulleys, cold air intake. If the money is allowed(im married), a vortec supercharger.

Cool it should be fun. I have planned doing some suspension upgrades before the procharger. It came with the GT suspension and wheels and such but was ordered with the V6 but that ok it will be fun to drive and I will be able to afford to drive too. I understand with the as money allows I am married too and have kids so projects take longer to complete that ok I good with it. Have a great day and if you have any more problems just let me know.
