1993 Ford Mustang New anti freeze

1993 Ford Mustang Two Wheel Drive Automatic 110000 miles

I was told that the reason my water pump started to leak after I change my antifreeze was because the new anti freeze cleaned out all the crud around the bushing and then started to leak is this true

It's possible. If the water pump is old then the bushings are probably worn out. The dirt could have just clogged the cracks that the coolant is now seeping out of.
