1993 Ford Mustang major problem

My 93 mustang 2.3 suddenly overheated and now wont start, turns over but sounds bad, timing is ok dont know what to do next. What should I check next?

Overheating is a good way to warp the heads or blow the head gaskets, perform a compression test on each cylinder if they are low or very erratic suspect a head problem.

How long did you drive it when it overheated?
