1990 Ford Mustang core plugs

1990 Ford Mustang V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I notice a round metal plug in top of my motor support went online and found out it was a core plug or fitting plugs. Read online is very hard to replace them while engine in car. My question is do I have to replace them?

Hi there,

You only need to replace there if they leak due to rust, if they are brass plugs you will never have to touch them, if steel, ensure that the coolant is always correct and rust should not be an issue for a very long time.
