1985 Ford Mustang My Car keeps over heating

Hi I was wondering if there are websites with engine breakdowns. My mustang over heats, so I replaced the thermostat. I want to make sure I installed it correctly. My hose blew shortly after installing so I replaced that. When I took it for a ride and came back after a mile or so the upper hose was super hot and the engine once again started over heating.

It is normal for the upper hose to thet hot. As far as the t-stat, here is a how to you can review to make sure you did it correctly:
