1969 Ford Mustang idle

My car will not idle very well. It goes very low and dies when you put it into gear. What could be tha problem?

Try adjusting the A/F mixture screw and the curb idle screw

Close the a/f mix screw then back out 2 turns and adjust the idle speed to specs now start closing the a/f screw slowly till it starts missing then back out 1/4 turn adjust the idle speed again do this with the other a/f mix screw

Also might want to check the PCV valve and make sure no vacuum leaks
