2005 Ford Focus 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 50k miles

I removed the resonator and drove around a little I expected there might be some indicator for that. I put the resonator back on and the engine light still stays on.
no wires were broken. Every thing is back as it was. What could be the problem? Nothing was broken.

If you unpulgged ths Mass Air Flow sensor, it flagged a code that won't reset everytime the key is turned off. You can disconnect the battery for about ten minutes. Otherwise it will eventually reset itself after about 50 drive cycles.
