I have a 2004 focus and the cruise control and back up lights both stopped working. And the fuse that they are on keeps popping and I dont know why. What do you think the problem could be?

Would that cause the fuse to keep popping though?

If fuse is blowing then it indicates a fault in that circuit. The CPP switch controls both the back-up lamps as well as part of the CC system. If the switch is bad or the wiring to the switch is bad then it will continue to blow the fuse until the issue is fixed.

Definitely points to faulty CPP switch, just make sure the wiring is not damaged and is connected good at the switch first
