2002 Ford Focus Transmission problem / Overdrive Problem

When driving my car in overdrive it tends to "kick out of gear" but when I turn overdrive off it does fine. What is the problem? And can I just continue to run it with overdrive off? Fluid is full. No leaks.

Hi is the fluid bright red?Have you had vehicle scanned for codes. Focus is bad for solenoids it could be solenoid problem if fluid is bright red. Most Places will scan vehicle free of charge like auto zone and such. Let me know what scanning comes up with then I may able to better guide you in the right direction.
