2002 Ford Focus

While accerating, my dashboard starting making a clicking noise and the fuel gage started twitching. Suddenly, it felt as though my car either down shifted or shut off and turned on real quick. The check engine light turned on and remained on for about 1 minute. It shut off and the car ran as normal. I'm assuming this is an electrical issue but any advise would help. Thank you!

Yes, I agree that it is an electrical issue. However, it could be many things. Since the light came on, I recommend that you take the car to a nationally recognized parts store to have the computer scanned for trouble codes. If the light was on for a minute, the computer should have stored the problem code.
