Step down box replacement

Ford Figo. If I replaced the step down box underneath the steering for the hazards and indicator. Must the new box be programmed before hazard and indicator will work?

If you are referring to the flasher unit, it should not require reprogramming.

I'm not sure what symptoms you are having, so I thought I would add this link. It discusses signal issues, how to check, and how to repair.
