on a cold start in the morning only the truck will crank - start and then die sometimes twice before staying at an idle - its a 6.0 international turbo

Those 6.0's had a whole slew of problems. Has it ever set the check engine light when doing this? If so a scan would be a good place to start. There are 3 recalibration Tech Service Bulletins on your truck along with 6 others for various driveability issues. May want to start with all of the updated software, these will fix some driveability issues without opening up the engine. They can scan the PCM first to see if it has stored any faults that may lead to another problem after the software is up to date. Be sure all filters are new first
