Engine Mechanical problem
1999 Ford F350 V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

Do you have to jack the engine up to remove the oil
pan on a F350? Pan has been leaking for a long time

Is there a gasket to replace or is it just sealant?

Might be able to install sealant after dropping pan.

Hello -

Well, looks like you have to raise the engine, remove many things including the drive shaft and it even stated the transmission is raised.

It does look like it has a gasket and you are to use sealant also.

35 - Oil Pan Gasket 3L3Z6710AA
Use Silicone Gasket and Sealant F6AZ-19562-A or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSE-M4G323-A6.
I can attach how to do it though lengthy if you would like. You didn't specify the engine so I used the 5.4L.

If you do let me know your engine size and the 8th digit of your VIN, I can check if there are any possible recalls on your vehicle.
