Steering wheel vibration.

My dad has an 03 f250 with around 160k mi. When slowing down around 40 mph the the whole truck starts wobbling like a tire is bout to fall off. It jerks the steering wheel side to side while it does it. It feels like it s gonna flip the truck when this happens. We checked(visual and tugging on parts) it all feels tight under the front end. If u slow down quickly through 40 mph, it wont do it. It does not do this during acceleration, only deceleration. Any ideas?

Sounds like the brake rotors are warped and need to be turned.

Ball joint wear will show on the tires as well. I with catch_15. The symptoms are perfect for warped rotors.

I agree. Either get the rotors turned or replaced depending on the thickness of them.
