2001 Ford F-250 magnic sensor

This excursion is a V10. What is the magnic sensor located on top of trans? The reason I ask is the trans that is in the excursion is no good. I found a replacement trans but it does't have that magnic sensor at the top. Is it necessary.

You need to get the right transmission. You have two sensors on the transmission one at the top of the tranny extension housing which is the output shaft speed sensor and the other one is on top of the tranny converter housing which is the turbine shaft speed sensor both are critical the computer uses its input signals to command and control the transmission
