I have a 1999 ford f 250, equipped with a 7.3 diesel. I recently damaged the oil temp. Sensor I continued to drive the vehicle for several days with no obvious problems. The last attempt to start the vehicle failed and after some research I discovered the oil temp. Sensor was damaged and I replaced it. After replacement the vehicle still would not start and the wait to start light did not illuminate on the dashboard. Is there a way to reset the pcm or do I have other problems?

I love the sound of a Ford diesel when you start them up cold. Anyway, the damage to the oil temp sender won't affect the starting. With no "wiat to start" light I have to believe the temp sensor for the glow plugs is bad. This unit controls the light and the length of time your glow plugs are on before turning out the light. Without glow plugs, it ain't gonna' start. Hope this helps.
