1996 Ford F-250 P0236 turbo boost sensor a performance

The truck runs fine part of the time. But some times under heavy throttle under load it looses power then all of the sudden it will take off again. The only code I have been getting is the one listed above.

When was the last time the fuel filter was changed? That code is kind-of a bogus code. We always ignored that code at the dealership. You could replace the sensor, but it really won't help. If I had to guess, I would say it is loosing fuel or loosing the high pressure in the high pressure oil system. Since the injectors run on 300-500 psi oil pressure, a loss in oil pressure would produce your concern, but most of the time it will flag a code for ICP or IPR. That's why I'm suggesting fuel pressure or fuel quality. Check the fuel filter housing on top of the engine and replace the filter if it hasn't been done in the last 6 months.
