Here is a more detailed preview of my truck, Its a 99 F250 Crew cab, xlt with just over 280,000 miles on the stock engine, Rebuilt ZF6, Its two wheel drive, and all 8 glow plugs were replaced about a month ago. Truck ran great after that.
A few days ago, I was driving around the parking lot of Kmart, and the engine made a very loud pop, and immediately the idle started to fluctuate wildly. No check engine light on the dashboard.I pulled the truck off the road and shut it down, restarted the truck, and it started and idled normally. But the truck suffered from severe power loss on the way home, as if the truck was not getting boost. At first I thought I blew out something in the turbo system, and set out to diagnose it, but so far, I have not found a single thing wrong with it. Any Suggestions/Advise/Answers?

You need to start with checking both the high pressure pump numbers and fuel pressure to the injectors.

The glow plugs were for starting only. It sounds like you may have injector, driver or turbo issues.

You need a shop with a scan tool to monitors the pressures and do a buzz test on the injectors
