1976 Ford F-250 Won't shift from column

The shift linkage from the column to the transmission won't work. Can manually shift at transmission, do you have any suggestions or a diagram of the wiring, etc to check on the steering column?

Just a thought, you might call around to some of the local boneyards, see if they might have a steering column that will work. Swap out the whole column. Sorry, I don't have any diagrams of the column.
