My ford with a 390 will not start or fire I checked timing and changed distributer cap and roater what might it be please help

Get a helper and pull a plug wire and ground it to the engine, and crank the engine over-is it sparking?Let me know.

We have tried that I have bought a new dist cap and roater all the spark plugs are gettin spark but a couple are not getting as strong as others. Oh thank you a lot I didn't donate because I didn't know if it was a scam but I will for sure next time. Anything else u can think of

Is this a conventional distributor ignition system or modified to electronics?

If it's a point contact ignition-inspect the alignment of the rotor and cap and also the cams lope of the distributor if it's worn-also inspect the spark plugs and test the ignition wires.
