On start-up the vehicle is at a high RPM (About 2,000~like an old car with a choke) and does not idle down. At first, about a month ago the vehicle would make a "Chirping" sound and would idle Up and Down. A quick hit of the throttle and it would go away. This lasted for about a month and what I tried was fuel injector cleaner at every other tank full and that did not seem to help. So now, at start up this morning the idle went up and it stayed there. Needless to say but the vehicle is at such a high RPM I really have to have my foot on the brake to hold it at a stop light. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated Oh ya, and no "Check Engine Light" at all.

Does the check engine light work? Come on with key in the on position? I would scan for codes anyway, and if you have a scanner that reads sensor data, with the car stone cold in the morning, read read the intake air temp sensor and the engine coolant temp sensor, they should be within 10-18 degrees of each other, if not replace the ECT. This acts like the choke for EFI engines.
