2002 Ford F-150 Fouled sparkplugs

Engine Performance problem
2002 Ford F150 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Truck has 145, 00 miles. Did last tune-up at 100k and installed 100k sparkplugs. At 145k miles started to get engine vibration. Mechanic found fouled sparkplugs and replaced. Solved problem but he couldn't say for how long. Suspects engine burning oil and fouling plugs. What is your experience with using an additive like Engine Restore to help this problem and extend the engine life before having to do a major engine repair job?

Hi there,

These products just mask the issue and don't resolve anything, you may find that it would be cheaper in the long term to fix this problem sooner rather than later as the problem will only get worse with time and such so will the possible repair bill. I don
t recommend any of these quick fixes as they do not really do much at all.
