I have scanned my truck with a actron CP9180. I do not have any trouble codes, but the evap monitor will not show ok. I have driven the truck over 300 miles on free ways and mountain roads along with city driving. I need to pass a smog test here in California and I don't think this issue will allow it to pass. Any ideas?

If your EVAP monitor has not run, then the solution to this is to drive the vehicle in a specific manner to force the monitor to run.

Basically, what is happening is the control module needs to see a specific drive sequence before it passes the monitor as it needs to pass this drive cycle with no issues.

Please see the attached info below which needs to be done in sequence.

So, you can try and jump to the EVAP monitor and perform this drive cycle but if that doesn't work then you will need to start at number 1 and perform all the drive cycles in order to get the EVAP to pass.

Please let us know what you find, and we can go from there.

Thanks
