2 barrel holly carb

1974 ford f150 302 engine. Has a 2 barrel holley carb. I need to know how to adjust the internal float of the carb, it seems to starve for gas, when I take the screw out of the side of carb, and rock the truck, I cannot see any gas

Is there a filter in line? If not buy a new needle and seat. Remove the top of the carb abd replace the needle and seat. The float should be about level with just contacting the needle. Goods luck
