Hi:
When you loose pressure, does the engine make noises like knocking, tapping.

Let me know.

Hi, yes it does start to make what sounds like the engine not circulating oil when pressure drops, then engine gets pressure back and engine quiets right down. Any possibility that a timing chain tensioner going out, or oil slug build up. Was going to flush oil and put hi mileage oil in.
I believe vehicle sat for a month. Thanks again

Hi:
This doesn't have anything to do with those things. If it was me, I would remove the oil pan and check the oil pump for a plugged pick-up tube / screen or a bad oil pump. Don't run it like that more than you have to because it will cause internal damage. If you hear internal engine noise, it will take the bearing out.

Let me know what you find.
