When I start my truck it will rev up really high then it will stall itself out some times it will start again and other times I have to wait a half hour or so. What could be causing it to do this?

Try changing fuel filter and check all vacume lines

We have changes the fuel filter and would it still be vacumme lines if it wont die once its in gear?
