I've got two issues with my 1997 Ford F150. The first issue is the driver's side windows automatically rolls down after hitting bumps, but not all the time and my parking brake light is stuck on. Is there a plunger near the parking brake pedal that should be depressed to shut the light off and what is causing the window to not roll down when I want it to but roll down on it's own?

It sounds like you have switch problems. How is the operation of the driver's side power window switch? Is it loose. The cotacts in these switches, dicoverd by takinging them apart, are flimsy. The switch may be shot or you might have tens yuears of grunge, oil, etc. Built up in the switch whcih temporarily completes the circuit. Concerning the brake light- there is a switch(plunger type) which is joined with the hand brake lever. It is also probably sticking due to age.

The driver's side switch only works part time, it doesn't seem sticky or loose at all. I am taking the vehicle to have a shop look at it and luckily for me, the guy who sold me the truck is going to pay for the window job to get done. The brake light, I am going to look again. I've looked but probably missed it. Thank you again.
