1997 Ford F-150 ball joint?

Noises problem
1997 Ford F150 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

97 Ford F150. Front drivers side wheel area has squeak. Mechanic friend thinks ball joint needs lubed, but was also told that it is a sealed unit. Do I have to just live with it?

Is there another joint/connection that might be making the same noise?

Has to be replaced
if dry and making noise need to be replaced
