Truck runs great then stops
fuel filter is hot
mechanic claimed vapor lock
after it cools it starts back up
mechanic replaced high pressure pump
mecahnic replaced both low pressure pumps
filter replaced
so the problem is not hp fuel pump as suggested and doubtfullly is it the LP pumps.

ignition control module on distributor will be replaced next. It has 5 electrical leads. Not sure how the ignition control module works

In this not running condition the engine has good spark.

Is it normal for the fuel filter to get hot?
why is it stoping always after running the same amount of time.

Oh all electrical checks show all systems good for this truck. All relays fuses. Are fine.

The ignition control module tests fine.

Can return lines cause this problem.

Desperate to have truck working. I will pay if someone can fix the problem. M friend has paid 1000 dollars on my old truck and cannot get his boat on the water to work and cannot pay additional mechanics to replace working parts.

What you need to do is to perform an actual fuel pressure check and monitor it-if it checks out start by checking the coil primary and secondary resistances and the distributor pick up coil and its air gap-

I believe all electrical checks have been completed but will check again. Why is the fuel filter too hot to touch. Is this normal?

THE FUEL PRESSURE IS GOOD AS TESTED
THIS PROBLEM STARTED AFTER LOW PRESSURE FUEL PUMPS REPLACED.

NEED HELP BADLY but thanks for the try.
