1988 Ford F-150 front wheel bearings

How do you take front hubs apart to change or repack bearings. I have never tried to take 4 wheel drive hubs apart.

Okay, you have to first remove the manual hub assembly. Then remove the caliper with brake line attached and wire aside. Remove snap ring, axle shaft spacer, needle thrust bearing and bearing thrust washer from spindle. Remove outer bearing lock nut with a spindlue nut spanner. Remove lock nut washer and inner bearing adjusting nut. Remove hub and rotor. Outer bearing will slide off with the hub. Remove grease seal and iner bearing and then you can repack and install in reverse order.
