1987 Ford F150 V8 Four Wheel Drive Manual

Truck has been sitting bout 2 years, when I start it the idle immediately jumps up to about 4000 rpm. I've replaced throttle position sensor and the air bypass valve speed control, and still the same thing. Where do I go from here?

Hmm, disconnect the harness for the tps and the map and the iac module and start it, still idle high?

Does idle ever come down?

Next step is to check the throttle linkage for binding causing it to not shut all the way.
