Knocking Tranny

1995 Ford Explorer, 4.0L, Milelage - 225,022 and still going! My question is: when coming to a complete stop, my transmission seems to let out a single knock, then I immediately feel a shaking under my brake peddle. I had a rebuilt tranny installed just last february, might it have to be replaced again, or could it possibly just need a fluid change?

95 4WD w/ 217K miles. Has had intermittent thumping noise from dirver front side area when going from 1st-2nd gear--ever since the car was new. Ford could never find the problem. Engaging the 4WD stops the noise. Had the r front 4WD shaft replaced--now noise occurs more frequently and when coming to a stop or starting out, then goes away. Have replaced front and read diffy gear oil with posi-additive. My local shop suspects the xmission but I don't agree. Noise remains even if xmission is put in nuetral. Could the front Diffy gears be malfunctioning? Any help would be appreicated.
