Door lock Gremlin

I have a 99 Eddie Bauer V6 explorer with 90,000 miles that sits in the driveway and randomly cycles the running board and interior lights on and off every three to sixty minutes. Sometimes the door locks click on and off and sometimes the clicking comes from the tire jack storage compartment on the driver side rear. Thanks in advance for any help. #124486-0

Hey justanold, I'm new to this forum so I'm not sure a PM is the proper protocol for communicating with you, let me know if I should be posting on the open forum and thanks for the reply. Heck yea I'm willing to do some testing, and removing door panel doesn't scare me. I'm a retired Home builder so I have more wood tools than the auto specialty type but more than willing to try. I do have a touch-pad on the drives door. Fire away!
