Hi and thank you My explorer is a 96 with a 130k miles 4.0 six cylinder and my trans hesitates to change gears and wont change after 3rd it feels like and it squeals when its cold until the car temp warms to normal operating temp while e-way driving rpms reach 3k at 70mph I'm not sure where to start i'm in the midst of replacing all factory parts and would like to wait to get engine and trans rebuilt if possible what should I replace first?

I recommend you have all these sensors check.

Mass air flow, throttle position, vehicle speed, intake air temperature, engine coolant temperature, brake On and Off switch. These inputs are used by the transmission control module to command solenoids/TCC etc to provide the shifts/lock/down etc. Before you condemn the transmission

Or get the Tranny pressure tested.
