I'm hearing a rattling noise around the lower front end of the engine. The noise only happens after the engine is at idle and through 3rd gear when driving. I have tried using a higher octane, oil additives, but still hear the rattling noise. The engine horsepower and transmission is not effected. Any suggestions welcome

Sounds like your timing chain. My girlfriend has a 2003 and we're getting the same noise. If you have not changed the chain, do it now anyway. The chain breaks, you're talking new engine.
