2003 Ford Explorer gauge cluster going crazy

2003 Ford Explorer 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic

ok I was driving down the road when all the gauges started going crazy motor dogged down then all the check engine lights came on, I shut the car off and started it again and it was fine and this is the second time it has happened. I have know clue what the problem is hope you can help.

Has the check engine light ever come on? Have you had the body control module tested?

I finally got it to the shop and the alternator was over charging the car causing it to go crazy. Thanks for replying with help anyways
