2002 Ford Explorer oil pressure

My explorer oil pressure is fine then drops to zero all of a sudden, it stalled on me but cranks fine and maintains pressure for a couple of minutes. Would the sensor dropping cause it to stall ie saftey switch.

WHen the pressure drops, it could shut the engine down. Do you ever hear any ticking or knocking when it is at 0 psi?

No ticking and when I start it after a while itll go back to normal.
