I have a 2002 ford explorer 4.0 v6 2 wheel drive, The service engine light came on I scanned it with obd2 reader got code p016 iac code, I replaced it but still getting same code, I checked for air leaks none, I was driving and the car just shut off completly, I place it in park and it turnedbackon the service engine light went off but shortly came back same code. Can it be the mas air flow sensor.

Has the vehicle's idle been affected? As far as the shut down, the IAC shouldn't cause that if you are driving. Have you tried clearing the code to see if the same one comes back on? And finally, check wiring and connections for damage.
