Engine size (4.0)
you need a test light and volt meter

1. Check fuses
2. Check fuse no.24 in the junction box and if fuse OK
3. Measure volts on Black /Orange wire at alternator B+ terminal
if no power repair short if OK
4. Disconnect alternator 3 pin electric connector, measure volts of Yellow?White wire terminal A if no power present repair a short if OK
5. Reconnect 3 pin connector turn key on measure volts of Light green /Red wire (backprobing connector here ) if less than one volts repair open or short if OK
6. Start engine and ground terminal F if charging system OK know replace the voltage regulator
