1999 Ford Explorer car shakes over 60 mph

Shakes or Wobbles problem
1999 Ford Explorer 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

when I drive on the high way my car starts to shake over 60 mph and it feels like the car has a shifting problem when I press down on the peddle theres a delay before I feel a noticable kick then it catches up to speed I am hopig its not a pending transmission prblem but it like to know where should I strt looking

The vibration could be many things. Have you checked the basic things such as tire balance, check tires for belt seperation, bent rim, universal joints? Also, where do you feel the vibration the most, the steering or the seat of the car?

Okay, if you feel it there the most, then it is in the front. Rotate the tires to see if it changes and you feel it more in the seat and floor. If you do, then it is tire related, balance, bent rim.
