Today I tried to turn on the ac in my explorer and the clutch would not engage. I jumped the low pressure switch and tried to switch around the ac enable relay with a good one and nothing worked. Is there anything else I could try? Thanks.

Is the system fully charged? If the head pressure is too low, it woun't turn on.

I will check it but I did try to override the low pressure switch with a jumper.

What you did makes sense to me. However, to the best of my knowledge, if it is low enough, it still won't work.
Let me know what you find.

Well I didn't see the clutch cycle switch on the accumulator so I jumped it and the clutch engaged. I checked the pressure and it was fine. It's working great now for a $11 part, thanks for the help.
