Engine Mechanical problem
1997 Ford Explorer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

My 1997 Ford Explorer will not turn on. The other day I was dropping off a friend when the ca turns off on me, I tried turning it back on but it didnt. The engine sounded like it wanted gas, but I had 1/2 a gallon. So I think its the fuel pump cutoff swicth, but I dont know where its located? Or if thats the problem? (I checked the fuses and the battery)

That's all I found for the location of the inertia switch.

Have you done any basic testing, like, with the vehicle cranking, check for spark at the plugs?
