1996 Ford Explorer 4X4 light and power windows

I have a 1996 explorer XLT the 4x4 light flashes and when this starts happening the power windows will not work do these 2 thing have anything to do with each other. I was told to put a new 4x4 module in and when I did it changed nothing I need help

I don't think they have anything anything to do with each other. If the 4wd light is flashing, have the computer scanned to see if there are any trouble codes set. Most parts stores will do it for free.

Let me know what you find.
