Hi, I am Mary Ellen, I just recently put a new fuel filter and fuel pump on my vehicle even testing the fuel pump before putting on. I also have put on 5 new spark plugs, couldn't get to last one. The alternator is fairly new also. I was so proud after fixing it and it ran so great. I haven't started it for awhile, and it is garage kept, and now I can't hear the fuel pump kicking in. I used starting fuel and she tries to start, so I know she isn't getting fuel. I also went under hood and switched the relays around to see if was big square relay, but still nothing. I hope it isn't the fuel pump, cause all I did is drive around block once with it. I've been planning on selling her, since I have a new vehicle now. I really want her to run, she isn't leaking anything on my garage floor. Is ther more than 1 fuse/relay for the fuel pump, where are they? I only know of the relay I checked. If you can show me a diagram or photo, It would help me alot. This was a very hard job for me, I appreciate your help. I could hardly get the fuel lines off, wish there was a better way, gas in the mouth is unpleasant.

My guess:

Under the hood, on the passenger side, find the fuse box. Locate the fuel pump relay and tap on it a few times, lightly with the plastic end of a screwdriver, per say.

Since you said you haven't started it in a while, I'll guess at a low power situation happened.

If the battery is disconnected or low to dead, that relay will close, get stuck and not activatate the pump.

*Happened to me after an alternator went bad, changed it and then the fuel pump wouldn't run.

Hope that works for you.
