2001 Ford Expedition wONT START

I recently purchased this vehicle and drove it home and was washing it and after I washed it wouldnt start? I have washed it before with no problem. It turns over with no problelm but will not fire up. I have checked spark plug valleys and they are dry. I have pushed the reset button for the fuel pump. When I turn the ignition on the guages all go to max but go off when I turn it off. When I start to crank the enging there is a slight (very dull) clunk just before the engine starts cranking? Can you offer any suggestions please.

Have you checked for spark and fuel to the engine?

Hello FLJ01

I had the same issue with 2001 ford Expedition V8 2X4
" When I turn the ignition on the guages all go to max"
I had to replace the battery and problem solved
